Morven
Morven
Ore/oil carrier Morven in the Mississippi where she loaded grain so perhaps more OBO than ore/oil. Built in Italy in 1961 she was launched as Olin Mathieson for a company of that name, which was still the registered owner when this photo was taken although the ship was managed by Denhom's and carried their funnel colours. At 32,935 dwt tons she was a good-sized ship at the time. She kept the name Morven all her life until broken up in Kaohsiung in 1984 but I don't know if Denholm's still managed her as she doesn't appear in their fleet lists.
