Built by Swan Hunter & Wigham, Richardson Ltd., Newcastle, (Yard No.1876), delivered in May 1950. 12,167 DWT, powered by a 4-cyl 2 S.C.S.A. Doxford type oil engine developing 3,100 bhp geared to a single shaft and manufactured by the shipbuilder. She led an uneventful life and was only kept in service for 12 years, being sold to T. W. Ward Ltd. Sheffield for breaking up at Inverkeithing in December 1962.
