Western Hunter |
American tanker Western Hunter at Sandheads with grain which is being loaded via vacuvators to the Lyemen (see cargo vessels) alongside. Built by the Bethlehem yard at Quincy as the Orion Hunter and completed in 1961, 1964 renamed Western Hunter, 1973 Overseas Natalie, 1989 Natalie 1 and broken up at Sitalpur. Western Hunter was the second biggest tanker under the United States flag - Manhattan was the biggest - 39287, 67208 dwt tons, 262 x 32 metres, steam turbines, 17 knots. |
