Aground and stuck fast on Landguard beach, Felixstowe on 01/03/2008.
This view gives a better perspective of the cranes aboard and the cranes ashore.
The closest crane ashore is the lucky one to have escaped being bowled over. The furthest crane ashore ( just visible there) is the operational one moved to the far end of Landguard Terminal . Between them are the remains of the two cranes knocked down. Note the STERN line mooring marks on the starboard side and the broken wire hanging down over the rudder.Regards,Rick |
