Esso Chittagong
Esso Chittagong
Panamanian flag Esso tanker Esso Chittagong. A T2 type completed by Kaiser in 1944 as Glacier Park she became Stanvac Durban in 1946 and had just been renamed Esso Chittagong when she arrived at Lyttelton in October 1962. The name has obviously just been painted and the funnel colours are in the process of being changed. In 1964 she became Santa Helena and thereafter her history is complex with her afterpart being joined to the fore and midships sections of Wapello to make Santa Helena and a new afterpart being fitted and then renamed Observer.
