Port of New Plymouth

Port Taranaki - New Plymouth during the mid-1970's. The New Plymouth Thermal Power Staion is plain to see. The coaster about to get away is the cement carrier LIGAR BAY.When the chimney was being built much of the cement was carried to the port buy the LIGAR BAY , GOLDEN BAY (1) and the JOHN WILSON. The Blue Star Line vessel berthed at Moturoa Wharf is unknown to me, maybe someone can make her out.
