The Factory Ship Guamblin commenced to flood through waterways, being unsuccesfull the works made by the Navy personnel to remove the ship from the Coquimbo Bay.
The day 4th of August of 2015, this ship was sunk, when new attempts to tow the ship away from the bay.
The ship was laid up in condition of unseaworthiness absolute since 1991, being anchored in the Bay from the year 2014, at great risk of subsidence, which finally materialized.

It must be noted, that the Navy identified the flood of "Guamblin", which was notified to the owner, in order to be adopted by this pertinent security measures.
