Spillage at the Bay of Quintero, Chile |
In an update on 25 September, shipping agency Inchcape Shipping Services estimated the spill at around three cubic metres. It said that ENAP, the owner of the Monobuoy Terminal where the incident occurred, "in coordination with the National Maritime Authority of Chile, deployed a team of expert personnel to mitigate the impact on the environment by employing absorbent sleeves and installing barriers with an 800m extension". |
