Polish pass/cargo liner PILSUDSKI, 158m/ 14.924gt/ twin screw/ 18kn/ pax: 370 tourist class, 400 3rd class; 08/1935 completed by Cantieri Riuniti dell’ Adriatico, Monfalcone, for Gdynia America Shipping Lines, Ltd., Gdynia; 15/9/1935 left Gdynia on her maiden voyage to Copenhagen and New York on; 11/08/1939 commenced her last voyage Gdynia - Copenhagen - Halifax - New York; At the outbreak of war, she was converted to an Armed Merchant Cruiser, but she was sunk on 26/11/1939 near the mouth of the River Humber by a mine laid by German destroyers, while on passage from the Tyne to Australia.
