VAN YUNG |
United Maritime Trust general cargo VAN YUNG as shown while downbound on the St.Lawrence River off Verchères in July 1960. Built in 1936 as the French-flag LOUIS L.D. for Louis Dreyfus & Cie, she went in 1940 to Marseilles Colonial to become their FOMALHAUT. She survived WW2 and was sold in 1954 to Buries Markes who renamed her LA QUINTA. Finally in 1958 she became VAN YUNG as depicted here. |
