WANAKA

A not so sharp photo of the Union Steam Ship Company vessel WANAKA berthed at Wellington during the early 1970s. Harbour board workers in the foreground installing wharf fendering using Australian hardwood piles. This site is now occupied by the National Museum of New Zealand better known as Te Papa.
