The East German vessel "Magdeburg" after being righted. Outbound from London for Cuba with a deck cargo of busses she collided with the "Yamashiro Maru" in dense fog on 27 October 1964 and capsized. Her crew was saved by the tug "Hibernia". Eventually refloated the "Magdeburg" was sold to Greek owners and left in tow for Piraeus where she was to be rebuilt but sank in the Bay of Biscay.
