She was one of 17 standard wooden cargo ships built in Australia in WW2, being launched at Hobart on 4 February 1946. Completed as Leven Star in 1948 she was purchased by Richardsons in 1950, her hold insulated and refrigerated, and was used as a refrigerated feeder ship. Sold to Singapore owners in 1962 she was renamed Hong Ann and was deleted from Lloyds in 1985-86. Beyond her is the floating crane Rapaki. |
