SIR JAMES CLARK ROSS |
The whale factory ship SIR JAMES CLARK ROSS at Wellington during the 1920s while on her way to the whaling grounds in the Ross Sea. The vessel made seven whaling trips from Norway to the Ross Sea calling at New Zealand both coming and going, many of her chasers being laid up for the winter at Stewart Island. She was replaced in 1930 by her namesake MV SIR JAMES CLARK ROSS. |
