The 'London-Greek' tramp "Winchester King" discharging coal off Montevideo in 1966. A war-built built as "Ocean Rider". Sold to Kyriakides Shipping Company, London, 1947 and renamed "Nicholas K", company renamed Winchester Shipping Co in 1958 and 1964 ship became "Winchester King". 1966 became "Pacific Trader", 1968 Karimantan" and broken up Kaohsiung that year. 1942: OCEAN RIDER 1947: NICHOLAS K, N. G. Kyriakides Shipping Co, London; 1958: Winchester Shipping Co.Ltd; 1964: WINCHESTER KING, same owners; 1966: PACIFIC TRADER, Intertrader Shipping Co, Panama; 1968: KARIMANTAN, scrapped Taiwan. |
