This unit was built in the shipyards of Asmar Talcahuano in the year 1994, and was baptized as PSG Aspirante Morel (2nd) and within their twelve years of service to the institution entrusted with the task of patrolling, surveillance and control of territorial waters; logistic support to units of task and isolated areas; maintenance to the maritime signalling and control and combat pollution. Due to the assigned tasks, to ensure the safety in navigation and the safeguarding of human life in the sea and support for the area, from the Gulf of Penas to Puerto Montt, her Home Port.
