EMPIRE STATE

Training ship First of three views of the SUNY training ship EMPIRE STATE as shown while underway on the St.Lawrence River off Verchères on December 24, 1989. She was converted at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, from the Moore-McCormack cargo ship MORMACTIDE which had been towed there in November 1988. I could see her smoke before I saw the actual ship!
