The 1992 built tanker suffered a massive explosion in no. 6 cargo tank at 1700 Singapore time on 19/06/2006 when some 200 miles NE of Singapore. She was on a ballast voyage to load oil at Singapore for NZ and was initially abandoned. One Phillipino seafarer is missing from the 22 man Indian & Phillipino crew. The vessel is registered in the Marshall Islands and was built at the Brodogradiliste Split yard and managed by International Tanker Management, Dubai. She is 77,931 g.t. 149,999 dwt. The vessel was subsequently towed to the Indonesian island of Batam off Singapore.
