Returning Home

An Island Bay fishing vessel returns to port after fishing in Cook Strait in 1930. Island Bay is situated on the south coast of Wellington and on the shore of Cook Strait. A large Italian community mainly fishermen lived in this area during this period.The weather in this area is very changable as can be seen in this photo.
