NAZARE
Portuguese wooden lighter NAZARE, circa 45m/ --gt; 07/07/1940 launched by Manuel Maria Bolais M?nica, Gafanha da Nazar?, Aveiro lagoon, as galleon PORTUGAL to be present in the 1940 Portuguese World Exposition, of Lisbon. During her launching she turned on one side. Later refloated and towed for Lisbon being integrated into the referred exposition, however on the 17/02/1941 due a gale made she turned on one side again and having broken her masts: 1941 purchased by Companhia Colonial de Navega??o, Lisbon, which rebuilt her into a lighter and renamed NAZARE being employed in the Portuguese coastwise traffic towed by same owner tugs OCEANIA and NAUTICUS; 1951 dismantled in Xabregas, Lisbon.
