Vehicle carrier Grande Togo ( Hull No: 482 ) ,sixth ship from the series of seven Ro/Ro car container carriers. Built by ULJANIK Shipyard for the Italian shipping company Grimaldi Group. Delivered on 27.01.2011. Grande Togo will be able to carry at the same time on twelve decks, of which two adaptable, about 3,890 cars and 1,360 containers. The total length of the ship is 210 m, breadth 32 m and depth 21.5 m. She will be driven by Uljanik/MAN-B&W main engine having an output of 19,040 kW at 105 r/min and will achieve the extreme speed of 21.9 knots. It must be noted that the contractual ships characteristics are even somewhat better in practice i.e. the ship reaches higher speed and besides, the deadweight is slightly bigger. The Shipbuilding Contract for Grande Togo was signed on 26th April 2007 and the keel was laid in March of 2010. With these multi-purpose ships for the transportation of cars, trucks and containers. |
