HOLMWOOD

Holm coaster Holmwood at Lyttelton with the tug Lyttelton at right and the Port Chalmers in the background. Holmwood was built in Holland in 1953 and served on the New Zealand coast until 1972 when she became King Fish under the Panamanian flag. In 1984 she became Pioneer Elite and on 23 July 1985 she arrived at Gadani Beach to be broken up. The tug Lyttelton still works at Lyttelton although these days as an excursion vessel.
