FURNESS BRIDGE

The lead ship of the class of 150000dwt ore/oil carriers built on Tees-side by the Furness yard at Haverton Hill. This was a controversial series of ships which included LIVERPOOL BRIDGE, later DERBYSHIRE. This was taken at Greenock in July 1971 when FURNESS BRIDGE arrived from the Tees- why I never found out.
