WEYBRIDGE
WEYBRIDGE
Seeing the shot of SWAT ex- WIMBLEDON prompted me to dig out this pic of her sister. They were about the last in a series built in the 50s for Watts Watts of London by Barclay Curle in Glasgow and the Caledon yard in Dundee and were named after suburbs in and around London all I think beginning with W.

WIMBLEDON and WEYBRIDGE were quite innovative for their time-the crew accommodation was outboard of the hold trunking if the old memory is right and outboard of that were two alleyways port and starboard given over to recreational areas(?).They set new standards for crew accommodation and I think all design work was Watts Watts own.

WEYBRIDGE also went to the NSC of Pakistan as KAROTUA and was scrapped in 1982.
