HOLMBURN

The Holm Shipping Company vessel HOLMBURN (1959) berthed at Glasgow Wharf during the early 1970s. The vessel was employed on the NZ coast but also to the Chatham Islands and Pacific Islands during her time. The vessel had an eventful career having grounded a number of times and experiencing a serious fire in Lyttelton which claimed the lives of the Master and the Chief Steward and causing serious damage to the accommodation.
