Arriving Las Palmas for stores and bunkers on 23/11/2008. Now 31 years old and when built in 1977 as the French ''Abeille Normandie'', together with her sister ''Abeille Provence'', were ordered for charter to the French Government for coastal protection work. This was partly in response to the two VLCC's which crash landed on the Brittany coast -''Olympic Bavery'' and ''Amoco Cadiz'' which spilled a few barrels of crude..I am sure most of our members will know of them. She has had several change of name and owners over the years and joind the famous Greek salvage company in 2007. Regards, Rick
