City of Khartoum

One of the 'Fast Empire' types completed in 1946 by Barclay Curle as the City of Khartoum for Ellerman Hall Line and seen in Lyttelton. One of a number of elderly Ellerman ships sold to Ben Line she became Benalligin in 1968 and was broken up in Kaohsiung in 1972.
