Anonyme John Cockerill - Ougr?e, Hoboken, Belgium, to Companhia Colonial de Navega??o, Lisbon; 25/10/1953 arrived to Lisbon coming from shipyard; 11/12/1953 started her maiden voyage to Brazil and River Plate via Funchal, taking as guest of honor, Admiral Am?rico Thomaz paying a visit to Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, then Minister of the Navy and a great stimulator of order No. 100, which developed fleets of Portuguese navies, just after the 2nd world war, due to lack of transport during the war; 19/10/1954 first trip to Central America and Brazil via Vigo, Tenerife and Funchal; 18/11/1957 last trip to Brazil; 1958 several trips to Angola and cruises; 22/01 /1961 hijacked in Caribbean watera by an armed revolutionary opposition to the team leader of the Portuguese Government, Professor Salazar (first ship hijacked worldwide in modern times) led by army Captain Henrique Galv?o; 06/01/1973 left Lisbon as cargo ship to Luanda and Louren?o Marques, thence took in tow to Port Louis, Mauritius, the steamer NAMPULA for breaking up, continuing her route to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, where she arrived 19/07/1973, for breaking up too.
