Sunjarv
To go with the photo in Shipping Accidents of her sinking as Aegis Duty here is the Sunjarv loading at Birkenhead in the 1960's. Completed by J. L. Thompson and Sons as the Gjendefjell in 1958 she was bought by Henderson's British and Burmese Steam Navigation Company in 1964 for charter to Saguenay Terminals. Hendersons intended naming the ship Sunsalween but the charterers chose Sunjarv. She was the last, and largest, ship bought by Hendersons. Upon completion of the charter in 1970 she was sold becoming Aegis Duty in 1972 and sinking on 5 December 1973.
