Marc Piché photo. by admin: This ship was built in the U.S.S.R. and entered service during July of 1978 as Kapitan Meshcheryakov. At that time she flew the hammer and sickle flag of Russia. When that country broke up in the early 1990s, this ship was transferred to the Lithuanian Shipping Corporation and renamed Kapitonas Mesceriakov during April of 1992. In September of 1996 she was renamed Kapitonas Andzejauskas
