RICHELIEU

Stern shot. She and JEAN BART were part of the Vichy French fleet which Churchill ordered to be destroyed in the early days of WW II but survived to come into the Free French fleet and later saw service in the Pacific. RICHELIEU remarkably lasted until 1967-68 before being scrapped and a marvellous opportunity for preservation was lost in my opinion.
