SEAL |
Former RAF Long Range Recovery and Support Craft vessel ''Seal'' (ex Pennant number 5000) is seen here at Las Palmas on 09/11/2006. Built in 1967 by Brooke Marine, Lowestoft, 248 g.t., as the lead vessel in an intended class of ten, but only three were built. The second and third being 'Seagull and 'Sea Otter'. 'Seal' was sold in 2006 to Nigerian interests along with the sister vessel, ''Seagull''. Both vessels had a longer than intended stopover for fuel and provisions while errr, final payments for both boats were awaited. Now registered as a Salvage vessel at Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
