was built in Nakskov, Denmark, 1927, for Siam Steam Navigation Co., Bangkok, a daughter company of the danish EAC, East Asiatic Company. The M/S Bhanurangsi was employed in the SSN routes in the Gulf of Siam, together with S/S Nibba and S/S Malini. Data: 20 passengers (16 I.class/4 II.class). 530 tdw, 685 grt, 410 nrt. 2 x 6-cyl 4-stroke B&W diesels 900 hp, twin screw, 11 kn. After WW2, this ship served a short time as lightship at the mouth of Menam River. |
