Ltd., Hebburn, Yard No. 695, for the British Tanker Co Ltd, London. 8,589 GRT 12,250 DWT, 489' 10" LOA, 61' 11" Breadth, 27' 5½" Summer Draught. 4 cyl 2 S.C.S.A. Doxford type oil engine by the shipbuilder developing 3,560 bhp @ 105 rpm driving a single screw shaft, 11.5 knot service speed. 9C & 18W tanks, 2 pump rooms housing 4 x steam reciprocating cargo pumps, 1,080 t.w./hr maximum discharge rate. Victor Pyrate portable tank cleaning system, 10" stern discharge. 29.3.1962 arrived at Inverkeithing for demolition by T W Ward Ltd., Sheffield. |
