The UNION SYDNEY at Lyttelton - chartered by the Union Steam Ship Co, for the Trans - Tasman service and in the fleet from 1983 -86.At the time she and sister UNION DUNEDIN were owned by Prosperity Shipping Co, Ltd,Bermuda (International Cruises S.A. ) ( A.J Chandris) Piraeus Mgrs.Unlike the other Union Co vessels which had white superstructures, both the UNION SYDNEY and DUNEDIN had buff coloured upperworks.
