Whilst the ship was moored to Baron Pier at the Port of Valparaiso, Chile and loaded with a full cargo of coal during stormy weather the Ship commenced to hit or rather say to hammer with the hull against the pier causing it damages, crackings and holes which made the sinking of the ship. The ship was later scrapped in situ.. |
