She was 7 years in the making by the Fincantieri Shipyard at Sestri, Italy having been laid down in 2001, launched in 2004, completed sea trails in 2007, commissioned in 2008 and finally reaching full operational capability in 2009! 244m X 39m X 8.7m. 4 X GE/Fiat gas turbines producing 22,000 apiece for 28 knots maximum sustained speed. 2 shafts with cpp. The total cost of the ship was 1.5 billion euros, including combat system.Regards, Rick
