DRAMMENSEREN
DRAMMENSEREN
The Norwegian barque Drammenseren at Bluff, New Zealand, between 06 January 1907, when she arrived from Malden Island with guano, and 18 February when she sailed for Malden Island, presumably for another load. Built by Osbourne Graham at North Hylton in 1877 for Liverpool shipowner Shallcross and Higham as the Lobo she became the Hans Wagner in 1898 and Drammenseren in 1903. Reverting to Lobo in 1911 she was wrecked on 18 October 1916 south of Angouche, Mozambique. The ship in the background appears to be the Union Steamship Company's Koonya, which paid two visits to Bluff during the stay of the Drammenseren.
