Where is my hull? Hamburg 1963. the photo shows the temporarily parking of the bridge superstructure of the tanker ESSO BALBOA during her unusual conversion in 1963 at Howaldtswerke Hamburg yard. She was built 1959 as ESSO NORWICH at Brest/France, GT 23.997, 35.724 tdw. The conversion consisted of lengthening by 25 m and raising the main deck by 2,75 m. GT now 30.187, 50.500 tdw. The whole work was done in 130 days.
