Danish pass/cargo liner ERRIA, imo 1173049/ 141,12m/ 8.636gt/ twin screw/ 17kn/ 75 pax; 01/1932 completed by Nakskov Skibsvaerft, Nakskov, for East Asiatic Company (EAC), Copenhagen, for its Far East and east coast of USA service; 1937 ERRIA, rebuilt; 1940 taken over by MoWT, London; 1945 ERRIA, East Asiatic Company (EAC), Copenhagen;; 22/12/1951 ERRIA, in Copenhagen-New York service burned off Astoria, U.S.A. while bound for Portland, with 33 passengers aboard (8 passengers and 3 members of the crew lost their lives?). Vessel was salvaged, towed into Astoria for unloading, then to Portland for emergency repairs and finally to the Netherlands for refit; 1952 ERRIA, rebuilt at Wilton-Fijenoord, Schiedam, Netherlands and redelivered 1953 as modern cargo ship, black hull, two masts and a large funnel; 03/1962 sold to Okayu & Co, Tokyo for scrapping; 21/5/1962 last voyage from Yokohama to Izumi-Ohtsu (Osaka) for breaking up.
