SILVERWEIR

Silver Line's first bulk carrier, as distinct from ore carriers, was the Silverweir completed by J. L. Thompson & Sons in 1961. Renamed Agios Antonios under the Greek flag in 1969 on 18 october 1973 while departing Coondapoor, India, for Constantza with a cargo of iron ore she struck an uncharted rock which resulted in her becoming a total loss.
