The Portuguese steamer SANTA IRENE, 53m/ 520gt/ 9kn: 04/1921 completed by Gebr. Fikkers, Martenshoek, as B.W.F. for that own builder; 1923 lengthened from 50m/ 443gt for 53m/ 520gt; 1923 AGNES KOLLN, H. Kolln, Germany; 1924 ANGELN, R.Bornhofen; Germany; 1928 SANTA IRIA, Veleira, Lisbon; 1931 SANTA IRENE, Companhia Industrial Portuguesa, Lisbon; 05/1931 she was hit by Portuguese liner QUANZA at Lisbon resulting her heavy damages; 13/04/1943 attacked by gun and sunken in few minutes with lifeboats destroyed near Civitavechia during the night, despite showing all lights and conventional neutral signs, by HMS Taurus, which disappeared from the area. 18 men killed and one rescued by an Italian hospital ship.
Seen strongly dented due collision of the liner QUANZA at Lisbon 05/1931.
