Built in 1953 by Eriksbergs M/V, A/B, Gothenburg. ( 435). as " Leeward Islands" to 1964. "Bajamar" to 1968. "Bonzo" to 1975. " Fortuna Reefer" to 1982. " Thannasis K " to 1982. She was intercepted in 1982 by Spanish Police whilst smuggling and subsequently bought at auction by the Spanish Navy for use as a transport. She was commissioned into the Armada on 06/12/1983 after some conversion work.
