The famous old Otto Thoresen ferry Viking 1 seen at Brindisi, Italy on 13/04/2003 while I was returning from Greece with the car. She has seen many names and routes in her long career. Last reported as follows:- From Brindisi (Italy) to Vlora (Albania) daily departure 22.00hrs arrival 07.00hrs From Vlora (Albania) to Brindisi (Italy) daily departure 12.00hrs arrival 16.00hrs. I don't think she has too much life left in her - she was detained in Igoumenitsa, Greece in September 2006 for 56 days while repairs deficiencies were carried out, but no news of her returning to trade.
