Apologies for the quality of the next series of shots but they are photos of photos taken by a future crew member and later passed to her First Mate. The first 250000dwt VLCC built on Tyneside and the first of two for Esso given an appropriate name for her launch on a very wet and grey day by HRH Princess Anne witnessed by a record crowd of onlookers.
