The TOTARA is prepared for launching in the yard of E.J. Smit & Zoon, Westerbroek, Holland in 1957.A vessel of 198 feet in length and 855grt she was built for the Anchor Shipping & Foundry Company Ltd. Employed mainly in the coal trade on the New Zealand coast, she was sold for further service to Pacific Navigation of Singapore in 1979 and renamed PACIFIC BOLD.
