PORT PIRIE

Another Port Line vessel to be photographed at Wellington, rapidly approaching the end of her days was the PORT PIRIE seen here berthed at the Inter-Island Wharf in 1971. Built in 1947 she was built by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd, Newcastle and served the Port line until 1972 when she was sent to Spanish breakers.
