She was the former Victory ship VC2-S-AP2 type Pontotoc Victory completed in February 1945 at the Bethlehem Fairfield Shipyard Incorporation, Baltimore, Maryland. USA with yard number 2442 for the War Shipping Administration as a troop transport for the American Export Line. Laid up in 1946 and renamed in 1947 as the Louis Sheid belonging to the Armement Deppe Soc. Anon., Antwerp, Belgium. Renamed in 1963 Pacific Victory of Rutland Navigation Company, Liberia, since 1964 of the Universal Marine Corporation, Liberia and finally broken up at the Nan Feng Iron&Steel Works, Kaohsiung in February 1976. With a deadweight of 10.750 tons were her dimensions 133,00 (between perpendiculars)-139,8 (over all) x 18,9 metres.
