The German s/s TRAUNSTEIN. Lpp 118,4m/ 4.323,02gt/ 13kn; 10/1921 completed by AG Vulkan Werke, Stettin, as ALDA, lpp 109,5m/4.177gt, for Roland Linie AG, Bremen; 1925 ALDA, Nordeutscher Lloyd, Bremen, due amalgamation of NDL/Roland; 1936 EISENACH, Nordeutscher Lloyd, Bremen; 1939 EISENACH, re-engined and lengthened to lpp 118,4m/4.323,02gt; 21/08/1939 she left the Panama Canal and went via Armuelles and Corinto to Punta Arenas, Costa Rica, and laid up, meanwhile the TRAUNSTEIN was scuttled and got fire by her crew to impend seizure by Costa Rica: 11/1941 raised and refloated; 1942 OCEANICA, Compania Oceanica, Costa Rica; 1943 ULTRAMARINO, Júlio Ribeiro Campos, Oporto; 17/06/1948 towed from Salinas to New Orleans; 27/12/1948 while in transit New Orleans/Lisbon engine breakdown and she was put in at Galveston; 05/01/1949 departed from Galveston to Lisbon; 17/0171949 put in Bermudas due new engine breakdown; 24/01/1949 sailed from Bermudas and new engine breakdown near Azores; 18/02/1949 finally arrived Lisbon towed by Portuguese salvage tug MONSANTO; 04/09/1949 she was towed by German tugs GULOSEN FJORD and KUREFJORD for Bremen for repairs; 1951 TRAUNSTEIN, Roland Linie AG, Bremen; 29/09/1960 arrived Wilhelmshaven for breaking up.
