GLEN SANNOX
GLEN SANNOX
Taken from Erskine Bridge in 1978 when she became the Clyde excursion ship following the withdrawal of the turbine steamer QUEEN MARY formerly QUEEN MARY II/ QUEEN MARY (the original!) which is now a restaurant on the Thames Embankment in London.
GLEN SANNOX was sold for service in Egypt and after major reconstruction work was rename KNOOZ. Since 2000 approx as AL BASMALAH I she has been lying in a partial sunken state in Alshuaiba Sea 70km South of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia . I have pictures of her (not mine) and have been in correspondence with the gentleman who has bought her with a view to raising her but it seems a forlorn hope.
